We have worked with several customers on a variety of long-term and short-term engagements over the last five years. We have worked with technology services companies on solution design and architect mentoring programs and with product engineering companies where we have designed entire product line architectures.

Canopus Consulting is engaged as the CTO organization for Manipal Education. We are responsible for the conceptualization, design and leading the development of the multiple award winning EduNxt technology enabled learning system. EduNxt combines rich content and large scale community interaction and is used by over 170,000 students.

Canopus Consulting mentors the development team at Microland and provides architectural leadership for the development of ROCC, Microland’s ITIL V3 compliant orchestration engine. We have also helped Microland develop a practice for applications management aligned with ITIL processes and featuring models for diagnostics and incident management.

Canopus Consulting mentors the team developing agropedia. agropedia is one of the world’s first agricultural knowledge repositories built using semantic, collaborative and social networking metaphors. This is an ongoing effort under the umbrella of the National Agriculture Innovation Project (NAIP) – an initiative sponsored and funded by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR).

Canopus Consulting ran a one year architect mentoring program where we mentored a select set of individuals from Collabera to help them become effective architects. In this highly appreciated program we worked with different architecture teams from Collabera and used their projects as real-world examples for mentoring. We covered over 25 mentoring topics ranging from the design of high performance systems, documenting and communicating software architecture, methods of estimation, supportability transformation and building design platforms.

Canopus Consulting is conducting a series of workshops as part of an architecture mentoring program along with the Talent Transformation group in Wipro Technologies. We have delivered multiple workshop sessions in the areas of reducing the complexity of Non Functional Requirements by transforming them into functions of Reliability, Availability, Supportability and Performance, Design Techniques for building scalable, high-performance systems, in Systems Thinking for software architects and in semantic technologies and collaborative computing.
In addition we also work on specific architecture and design related projects with technology teams in Wipro.

Canopus Consulting conducted a four day architecture mentoring workshop on Product Lines and Systems Thinking for a selected group of software architects from Cognizant Technology Solutions in Bangalore. Topics covered included the design of stable systems, product lines and their context in services companies and using systems thinking to develop design platforms.

Canopus Consulting helped Veloz Global Solutions in the development of an Enterprise Performance Management product line and platform. We created the core intellectual property for Veloz, established the product R&D center in India and rolled out the Veloz MCUBE-RT product line.

We worked with the Bangalore based core technology development team of Transworld Inc, an international bank as their chief architects and designed a large scale next generation banking platform.
